This London cast album, recorded from July to September, thus captures a show in transition, which may help explain why the lyric sheet doesn't quite match what's sung. The onstage difficulties of the story are less bothersome on record, though the plot remains difficult and not very interesting to follow.6/

Oct 04,  · Martin Guerre has had a long and troubled saga, not to mention far under-recorded, and this album is not quite the end result of that. Essentially, Boublil & Schönberg's 4th musical (after La Revolution Francaise, Les Miserables, and Miss Saigon) was not initially successful in London .
