Jun 29, · Exotic Birds and Fruit was Procol's best album in their "later period" of albums One must go back to the 5th album, the often wished for "Broken Barricades", to find a work of equal quality. Some of the tunes on EB&F are simply as good as anything the band ever created--e.g. Strong As Sampson, Thin End of the Wedge, Nothing But The Truth /5(85). -

„Exotic Birds And Fruit“ heißt das siebte Studioalbum der britischen Band Procol Harum. Die Platte erschien ursprünglich im April auf dem Plattenlabel Chrysalis. Im Juni wurde das Album schließlich auf Esoteric Records wiederveröffentlicht, wobei das ursprüngliche Album gleich um zwei weitere CDs und damit um sehr viel /5(67).

Oct 22, · The song's eerie, somber tone could fit very well on "Home". "Monsieur R. Monde" is much better and more "finished" sounding here than the original version ("Monsieur Armand"). "New Lamps For Old" is classic Procol. The double LP from Let Them Eat Vinyl has "Drunk Again" and "As Strong as Samson" in its alternate mix in D-flat on side 4.
