“ Too Many People ” is the opening song of Paul and Linda McCartney’s album “ Ram “. The lyrics were interpreted as targeting John Lennon and Yoko Ono, which Paul acknowledged years later. I was looking at my second solo album, Ram, the other day and I remember there was one tiny little reference to John in the whole thing.

Feb 06,  · Here you've got an outstanding rock & roll album (that has aged very well) compared to one of the most pretentious records ever made. No contest. Ram opens with "Too Many People," a stab at Lennon, but just a great song no matter what. I love the lyric "too many reaching for a piece of cake!" Humour and pop excellence are how I'd describe "3 Legs."/5().

RAM, originally released in May , is the only album to be credited to both Paul and Linda McCartney and was Paul's second post-Beatles LP. It was overshadowed at the time by the drama of the dissolution of his former group, as played out in the world's media, yet hit No. 1 in the U.K. and No. 2 in the U.S. respectively regardless.

These deluxe reissues by Paul McCartney are truly amazing. It is a in depth look at Paul's often overlooked 2nd album RAM. These deluxe sets give us so much material I am surprised it does not come with the kitchen sink. I thought they did a great job on the remastering on this set. This deluxe edition [4 CD / 1 DVD] contains the following/5().

1 day ago · McCartney and his then-wife Linda reacted by having ads published mocking Lennon and his now-widow Yoko Ono, which saw them dressed up as clowns. 'How Do You Sleep?' was penned in response to McCartney's solo LP 'Ram', which featured the track 'Too Many People', which he later admitted intended to slam Lennon.

album notes. The only album credited to both Paul and Linda McCartney, RAM reached Number 1 in the UK and stayed in the US Top 10 for five months. Recording after he’d left The Beatles and before the formation of Wings, Paul initially flew with Linda to New York to record the songs they'd written but arrived without a band.
